TRIO Scholars participants will have priority in acquiring TUTORING from the Learning and Academic Resource Center (LARC). Students must identify themselves as an TRIO Scholars participant to register for Tutoring sections and receive priority.
TRIO Scholars participants can attend any of the WEEKLY WORKSHOPS and/or ACTIVITIES provided by Student Transition Services that aid in their holistic development and academic achievement . All workshops and activities are free of charge and focus on a range of topics including, but not limited to:
- Career Exploration
- Financial Literacy
- Study Skills and Time Management
- Research with Faculty
- Goal Setting
- Writing Personal Statements
- Stress Management
In the winter quarter, TRIO Scholars Students will be provided with a hands-on FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Workshop administered by the Financial Aid office in which participants will be able to successfully complete their FAFSA forms accurately and on-time.
A Graduate School Preparation and Planning Course will be available for interested TRIO Scholars participants. The course is designed with juniors and seniors in mind.
As a participation in the program, participants will have access to these benefits throughout their academic career (up to 6 years).
