CALFRESH DROP IN HOURS AT STUDENT SUCCESS INITIATIVES:
CalFresh (also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP) is a nutrition assistance program sponsored by the USDA that helps people purchase healthy foods. The program issues monthly electronic benefits on an EBT card that can be used at most grocery stores and farmers markets. Orange County Social Services Agency (OCSSA) is responsible for determining if an individual/household qualifies for CalFresh and individuals could receive up to $192/month in EBT benefits!
In collaboration with the FRESH Basic Needs Hub, CalFresh representatives will be available to assist students who are interested in learning more about the food assistance program and walk them through the process of completing their CalFresh application.
Students are welcome to stop by the CalFresh Drop In Hours held at the Student Success Initiatives office during the hours/dates listed here: SSI CALFRESH HOURS.
If you cannot make it to the SSI CalFresh Drop In Hours, please contact the Basic Needs Hub for other times where they can assist you with the CalFresh application.
