Healthy Happening Series

Healthy Happenings is a collaboration between the Student Success Initiatives office and the UCI Counseling Center. Each session aims to support students in possible challenges during their UCI experience. Keep an eye out for upcoming workshops! OPEN TO ALL UCI UNDERGRADS!

In addition to our collaboration workshops, you can expect Counselor Drop-ins every week of the Quarter. These are drop-in spaces for you to speak to a counselor from the UCI Counseling Center. **Appointments will be needed in order to provide adequate support to each individual.**

Anteater Success Resources Series

The Anteater Success Resources workshop series are academic enrichment workshops that are designed to provide students with the tools and knowledge necessary to successfully navigate campus and achieve academic success.

These workshops are open to all UCI undergraduate students.

STEM Tutoring

Student Success Initiatives and the Transfer Student Center offer free peer-led STEM tutoring on designated course topics. A Student Success Initiatives (SSI) Peer Tutor is a current UCI undergraduate student who has excelled in a specific academic area.

SSI & TSC STEM Tutoring appointments are open to UCI undergraduates in Student Success Initiative scholar programs.

Schedule a STEM Tutoring appointment with a tutor via ZotPass. Click on “Find Academic Support” and “Find a Tutor” to find tutor offerings.

Writing Support

Drop-ins are hosted by Undergraduate Writing Peer Tutors at the Student Success Initiatives office on select dates/times each quarter. Writing Tutors can provide feedback and support your writing, whether you don’t know where to start, have an outline, are in the middle of drafting, or are polishing up the final draft

In Winter 2026, drop-in sessions are hosted:

• Wednesdays, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM,
• Fridays, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Writing support sessions are open to all UCI undergraduate students on a drop-in basis, no appointment necessary. Check-in at the front desk upon arrival.

SSI Socials

The SSI coordinators and counselors collaborate to host various social events throughout the quarter. Some socials may only be open to specific scholar program participants.

Please note: Some social events may be limited to certain SSI scholar program participants.

UCI First-Gen Programs hosts various programs and events throughout the academic year. Our First-Gen Peer Educators host 2-3 workshops each quarter. If you are applying for the First-Gen Cord Program, attendance at the workshops below qualify for one of the requirements.
